ThoraSara had grown and became an excellent fighter. She was also a beauty. Many of the men of her village wanted her for a wife. Her father said, "whoever can defeat her can be her husband." No one had yet succeeded. ThoraSara was glad her father did not force her to marry someone she did not want to. Many of the girls had to marry who their father said marry. She did not want to become a wife like the other girls in the village did. She liked and wanted to fight. It suited her temperament and she was a handful at times. She was the only child and she was more like a son than a daughter to her father. He was in no hurry to give her to a man. She wanted justice for the people. They lived in the village of Arabella (The eagle).
ThoraSara was born during a thunderstorm and she looked just like a princess when she was born. She even had the mark of a crown behind her left ear. Her father named her this because he wanted her to be known as the 'Thunder's Princess. She was upholding her name well for she always fought for those in the village who were weaker.
She dealt with them fairly even the worst offenders. The elders of the village were in wonder of her wisdom and discernment of right and wrong.
ThoraSara was preparing for this years tournament. She planned on being the winner again. "When I win this year, I will be free not to marry any man, for none of them will challenge me after this year."
ThoraSara did not let anyone know she heard voices and listened to what they told her. Only one person had asked her if she heard voices. The voices told her to speak to the stranger and answer all his questions. He said his name was Hool. He wanted to know "when she was born, how she got her name, did she have a crown birthmark behind her left ear and did she believe everyone should be judged fairly regardless of their crimes?" She had answered all his questions and did not wonder why he asked them. The question he wanted to know the answer to most was, "what did she want to do?"
"I want to bring peace and justice for all the land. I would be willing to give my life for that to happen. I don't hate Lord Ormond Irons but he must be judged and pay for his crimes." She did not speak these thoughts aloud to anyone.
------------------------------------ThorIan Test--------------------------------------
The two cycles of the moon had passed and Cadman put the special items with the other weapons. He was waiting for Hool and ThorIan to return from their walk.
ThorIan was told to go to his village. As he came closer he knew things were not right. It was quiet and there was no movement outside the village. He broke into a run and upon entering the village saw that everyone had been tortured. He screamed "NOOOOOOOO!" He ran to his fathers forge and found his father staked out over the forges fire. He was barely alive. ThorIan cut his father loose and laid him gently on the ground. The fire in the pit was out.
"Father, father! What happened?"
"Lord Irons came to the village, he wanted me to join his service. I refused as did the other men in the village. He wanted to know if there were any weapons here. No one would tell him so they tortured us all thinking we would talk. No one did. You know where they are. You must take them with Hool and lead the army to defeat Lord Irons. Do not hate, take up your destiny, my son."
ThorIan, do you now hate Lord Ormond Irons? You have seen what he has done to your village and your family. As you hold your dead father in your arms, what is in your heart?" Ward the Watchman said.
Through tear filled eyes, "No, I do not hate him but I do want justice. My heart is filled with sorrow but Good and Justice must win over evil. I said, as I looked at them both.
"Very good, ThorIan, you have passed the test and now will receive the marks of the Protector. "Sleep now", said Atalaya.

ThorIan awoke to see Hool there in the village with him. He was still holding his father. He saw in Hool hands two branding irons. He gently laid his father down.
"ThorIan it is time for you to receive your marks. Build a hot fire in the forges pit. These irons will brand your arms so all will know you are the Protector. You will be branded with the White Tiger for its strength, agility, conning and stealth on the outside of your forearms. The Black dragon for its heart, magic, wisdom of the ages and long life on the inside of your forearm."
I built the fire making sure it would heat the irons quickly for the branding. I then mentally prepared myself for the pain I would endure during the branding. When the branding irons were red-hot Hool branded my arms as was foretold in the legend, I felt no pain from them.
When the branding was completed and I had regained my strength we prepared all the bodies for a burial burn. We gathered everything we needed for our journey and I gathered all the weapons that my father had made. As we left the village we set it on fire.
