Time line is for Readers understanding as to when events occurred. It is Rated R for violence. I do not condone violence; it is a fictional story only. Violent situations Actual history will be enclosed in these [ ] to separate it from fiction. Witchblade transcript quotes are enclosed in these (= =) to give proper credit to writers. Thank you to all those who gave me ideas through their stories and those who gave me assistance with information so that it was accurate. ====================================================== Scene Setting: Irons mansion after the fight between the mysterious man and Sara. Sara has revived Ian after Irons tried to kill him. -------------------------------------Aftermath--------------------------------------------- Sara and Ian stood and looked around the room at Iron's and the other man. The man moans and tries to get up. Ian starts towards him. Sara reaches out to stop him. "Lady Sara, I must go to him and speak to him." "Why?" "I'm drawn to him, I can't explain it. It is like he is part of me." In just a few steps Ian was at his side holding him in his arms and Sara just a few steps away. She is prepared just incase this man tries to harm Ian. With difficultly the man asks, "Is Irons' dead?" "Yes, he is. Who are you and why did you want to kill Lady Sara?" "He named me, Ean. I am you, you are me, and we are one." He coughed and takes a ragged breath. Blood spills from his mouth. "You'll be fine, I'll take care of you." "Ian, you know that is not possible. That is why you sought death by the Witchblade." "How do you know that?" "Our Master cloned me, from your blood. Gave me your memories but none of your weaknesses. For me there was just the Masters' will. I got your training knowledge and skills. He intended for me to kill Lady Sara to get the Witchblade back. He knew you would go to Lady Sara but thought you would be killed by the Emerald Eagles as you had no one to direct you." Ean coughed up more blood and his breath is very labored. "He wanted to plunge the world back into the darkness as it was before the Witchblade and The Sword of Evanmori were forged. I am glad he did not win and I do not have to serve him in darkness with my life. Do not mourn my loss as you did our brothers'. I am at peace as you are. We are tormented no longer." Ean said, with his last breath closing his eyes. Ian looks up at Lady Sara with tears in his eyes. "I'm so sorry, Ian." Ian lays him gently down. "We must call the Station and tell them what we have found." "What do you mean? We can't tell anyone what happened here. Not with this." She holds up the hand with the Witchblade on it. "M'lady we arrived here at the mansion and found Mr. Irons attacking Ean, my twin brother with a sword. Ean managed to stab Irons with a dagger as Irons thrust him threw with the sword. The way the bodies lay the story is plausible, is it not?" Sara looked around and saw the sword laying near Irons hand and the dagger still in him. She looked at how Ean laid and it did look like Ean was killed by Irons. "Yes, it does. The crime scene evidence seems to uphold the story. With our eyewitness accounts no other questions should be raised. I will have to write a report and with that jerk of a Captain out of the way there shouldn't be a problem. Ok, I'll make the call."

Evil was in rule and the people had little or no hope of things becoming better. They were all slaves to his rule for he had a strong army doing his bidding. The people were sorely oppressed by the hands of the evil Lord Ormond (dragon man) Irons. He ruled with an iron fist. All who had tried to oppose him were tortured horribly. All were brutality and painfully killed. All near the opposer were made to watch or would join the victims tortured death. The methods used to torture were sadistic in their manner. Some were skinned alive and then dissected, others were disemboweled, others stake to the ground over large red anthills and the list went on and on. No one was ever given a quick death and that included women and children. In 1111 (BC) on November 11th at 11:11:11 a.m. ThorIan and at 11:11:12 a.m. ThoraSara were born in a different part of the land of Athmore. There was only one holy man left in the land at this time and he was being hunted down. He had managed to stay alive but he knew his time was short. He had to find the children who would bring the legend to life and bring the light back into the world. The legend said they would be able to defeat evil. He had found the special precious jewel stone the legend had spoke of and had kept it safe from Lord Ormond Irons hands. If Lord Ormond Irons got his hands on this jewel stone there would be no chance of ever defeating him. Lord Ormond Irons knew the holy man Hool had found the jeweled stone and blessed it according to the legend. This blessing would enable it to fight against his evil. The jeweled stone would become Goods' protector when wielded by the chosen ones. The stone in its' item would empower the Wielders with strength, agility and knowledge of how to defeat all evil. Lord Ormond Irons wanted the holy man Hool and the children found. He wanted them killed before the jeweled stone could be made into the weapons to destroy him. He wanted the jeweled stone so that he could destroy it making sure he would never be defeated for eternity. The legend said the children would be born on the same day of the year and only one second apart. The first child must be a boy and the second the girl. The boy would be the protector of the girl. He would serve her with his life. But he had to do it willingly. He could not be forced into this service for his heart had to be pure and without hate. Only in this way would they be able to defeat evil. He was not to be her slave to do her will. The girl would be the one to pass out judgment on evil. She is Justice the Keeper of Good, the defeater of evil. According to the legend each pair born one second apart would always have a connection to each other. They would be drawn to each other regardless of where they lived throughout eternity when evil needed to be defeated. They would become the Wielder and Protector of Good if they accepted their destiny. If this pair refused the evil would continue to rule until another pair were born and accepted their destiny.

"I have always been able to sense their presences and there is no one else here in the mansion but us." Sara took her cell phone from her pocket and made the call to the station. She informed them of the double homicide and for them to send a team over. When they arrived led by Jake. I told them what we saw. Mr. Irons' was attacking my brother and he defended himself. They killed each other before either I or Detective Pezzini here could intervene. "Why are you here Sara?" Before she could answer, I said. "Mr. Irons asked me to bring Detective Pezzini here as he had wanted to invite her to a Charity dinner for the widows and their families of slain Police Officers he was going to arrange. At least that is what he told me. It seems he wanted me out of the way so he could get rid of my brother." "Now, why would he want to do that?" "I guess we will never know the answer to that question, now will we?" "I guess not." "Is that what you saw, Sara?" "Yea, it is Jake. You don't believe Nottingham?" "Well I guess, if that is what you saw then I'll take him at his word." ^^^^ "Detective Pezzini?" "What is it Carb?" Jake goes over and talks to the Coroner who is checking the bodies. "I guess you haven't heard." Sara looks at him as do I. "The Captain and five other Officers are dead they were found in a warehouse on 11th Street." "How?" "It looks like a drug bust gone wrong. There was a bag of counterfeit money found at the crime scene. It was from the evidence room at the Station. The dealers must have been tipped off as to the money being counterfeit." Lady Sara looked at me and I just tilted my head to the side a little. "Do you have any idea who the dealers were?" "No clues at all. The Captain had all the information on this one in his head." ^^^^ "Detective McCarthy, I think you should know there is another body here at the mansion." "What?" Both Jake and Lady Sara said at the same time looking at me. "Mr. Irons' had the body of his beloved preserved and brought here to the mansion. It is the body of Ms Bronte. Before you ask, I was under orders not to inform anyone of this situation. I told them they could find her body in the south wing of the mansion." Both Lady Sara and Jake left for the south wing after I told them how to get there. ^^^^ The Coroner said, "I don't see any reason for an autopsy on these two as the cause of death is apparent. But as for Ms Bronte I may have to." She said to Detective Carb. "Mr. Nottingham do you know if there is a death certificate for her on file somewhere?" "I do not know. All I know is that she died in Batswana." "Very well, I will check with the Batswana Government first. Thank you for the information. I imagine you will be making arrangements for the burial for all of them?" "Yes, I guess it is up to me to do so. I will have to fine out if he had any arrangements set up first." "There is no hurry, I understand you have a lot to process." "Thank you for your kindness." ^^^^ Lady Sara and Jake returned and the team packed up and left. They took the Sword Excalibur and the Black dagger with them. I had taken my Sword, the dagger Irons used and cleaned them then put them away all before the team arrived. The Coroner took all three bodies with her. Jake, whos running the show now?" "Don't know yet. We just got the information on the Captain and the others just before we left to come here." Well it should be interesting then. "Sara, are you coming?" "I'll be there in a little bit. "Go ahead and go Detective Pezzini. I need to check and see if there are any instructions Mr. Irons had in place for his burial and I will need to contact the lawyer. "Go ahead and go to the car Jake and I'll be there in a second. I just want to say something to Nottingham here, alone." "Sure thing, Sara." ^^^^ "I don't think it is a good idea, Ian." "I need to do this now, please Lady Sara." "Alright, I will go but call me if you need anything. I'll get back here as soon as I can." "Lady Sara, I need to process everything that has happened by myself. If I need your help I will call." "Be careful Ian. I do need to see who will be in charge, now that that jerk of a Captain is dead." "I will, please go now Lady Sara. I understand your concern M'lady but I have to do this for closure. I will also need to speak to the staff when they return tonight." Sara left but did not like the feeling she was getting. She felt something was off but the Witchblade was mute. She couldn't put her finger on what it was that bothered her about leaving Ian alone in the mansion. ^^^^ I was alone in the mansion that was my Masters'. I was at peace but it was an uneasy one. I went to his desk and sat down in, the chair that I had always stood behind. I started opening drawers to see what I had always wondered about. What did he keep in this desk? Would it hold the answer to my life long question of 'Who I am?'

He had concealed himself so as not to be found out. He continually changed his looks to avoid capture by Lord Ormond Irons. He kept his true identity hid and only a very few trusted people knew who he was. He came to Cadman the best metal smith in the land. He was surprised Lord Ormond Irons had not taken him and made Cadman a prisoner forcing him to make his armies swords. The people all knew that Cadman was also the best sword maker in the land but everyone kept the secret because he was forging the weapons for an uprising against Lord Irons. Even Lord Irons did not know Cadman was a sword maker. Lord Irons himself had come to the village to see Cadman. Cadman had convinced Lord Irons that he was just a poor metal smith and that his goods were not worthy of use by the Great Lord Ormond Irons. He even showed Lord Irons some of his work, which was very poor. Lord Irons considered having Cadman killed because of the poor work. But let him live knowing the people needed him to make the tools to plant and harvest the crops for his tribute that they must pay to him. The people who were entrusted with Hool identity told him of Cadman special skill. ^^^^ "ThorIan go out and get more fuel for the fire. We have much work to do." Cadman said as a stranger entered the forge. "Are you Cadman the metal smith?" "Yes, Who are you?" "I am called Hool. I came to make a request of you. I would like you to forge a sword, bracelet, necklace and armband." Hool took out the jeweled stone from his inner pocket of his cloak. "This jeweled stone is to be split in half. One piece is to be placed in the bracelet and the other in the sword. The fragments of the stone are to be placed in the armband and necklace. On each of the pieces is to be this design---a man holding a sword upright with a woman holding her sword upright crossing the mans sword. The stone is to be in the center of the crossed swords. You'll know the special mix of metals to use to make the indestructible weapons if you'll agree." "Why do you come to me? I am no weapons maker! I am just a poor metal smith." Hool said nothing. He removed his outer cloak and opened his shirt. He then lifted up his left arm to reveal the mark of a priest in his armpit. The mark was that of a cross with three stars above it and a circle underneath it. "Those who I trust with my life told me about your special skill. Will you make the items I requested of you?" Cadman knew the mark of the priest well, as he was the designer of the mark, worn by all priests when they had been chosen to serve in the church. The church requested the mark so all the people would know who represented the church. "I will do the work you requested. But I want to know if what you want is connected to the fulfillment of the legend?" "Cadman, it is best that you do not know the answer to the question you ask. When can the items be completed?" "It will take me two cycles of the full moon." "Good, my time is short here."

He quickly learned the ways of sword making. He learned what made a good strong sword that would not break in battle. He learned how to melt the iron, beat the shape, cool the iron, and hone the edge. He learned how to make the handle strong and to fit the shape of the hand. ThorIan became very good at sharpening and polishing the swords until they glistened. Cadman started teaching him at twelve how to use the swords. Cadman was a skillful swordsman but had learned to keep it a secret because of Lord Irons. Cadman had been the Captain of an army in his younger days in a land far away. He had become tired of the killing and war. He was released from his command by King Leal in the land of Harlan when the war ended and was given permission to leave the land to live his life in peace because of his excellent service. Cadman had come to Phelan because of the peacefulness of it. He learned the art of metalworking from the man who had owned the forge before him. Cadman had met his wife Catalina here and fell in love and married. He did not tell Catalina of his past as a warrior. He wanted to leave that life behind. It had not taken Cadman long to learn all the ways of metalworking. The man he had learned from had no family to leave his trade with and was happy to train Cadman in the trade. It had only been five years since he had come to the land when the man died and left the forge to him.

The people did not even have a chance to fight as Lord Ormond Irons swept the country in just one year killing all the men of war who tried to fight. In the five years Lord Ormond Irons ruled all peace was destroyed in the country of Media. Cadman started making weapons of war and teaching the people how to become skilled fighters. Everyone knew how important it was to keep the secret of who Cadman was. He was the only one left with battle skills. When Lord Ormond Irons came to power Cadman told Catalina about his past. Catalina was afraid but knew he had to teach the people and make the weapons, it had to be done. The legend told of a man who would teach the people how to fight. The people would then be lead by a woman and a man with special weapons. They would defeat evil and the land would be at peace again. She just wished it had not been her husband that was chosen for this task. ^^^^ Lord Irons commanded that tournaments be held in each village and all youth starting at the age of twelve and ending at eighteen were to compete against each other in all areas. When the youth lost in one area they could not compete in the other areas. This was the only entertainment the people were allowed. The tournaments would consist of running, climbing, lifting weights, battling one another hand to hand and the last contest would be with staffs. They would be paired up in each age group. The matches would continue until there was only one pair left and then there would be a final match to determine the winner in each group. The matches would be held over a two-month period. It would be held once a year after harvest just before winter. In just three years ThorIan was able to win every match the village set up. The winners in each village would then compete against each other to determine the final winner. Then they would have a celebration in their honor. At first it made the people happy to be able to have this little joy. But as time when on and the winners of the tournaments began to disappear it became a time of sadness. When the undefeated winners be it boy or girl of these tournament had won four years in a row regardless of their ages, they disappeared from their villages. They would be seized in secret and forced into Lord Ormond Irons service as slaves in his ring of death for his own personal entertainment. No one knew what happened to the winners though it was feared that they were in Lord Ormond Irons prisons for his personal pleasure. They were taken to make sure they would not be able to lead a revolt against him. If the contestants didnt try their best to win then their families would be killed. No one had ever been taken from the village of Phelan. In the fourth year a village tried to refuse to compete in the tournament and Lord Ormond Irons came and tortured several of the people until they agreed to hold the tournament. He stayed there until the competition was completed. Lord Irons then had the entire village destroyed. This was to send the message to the other villages not to try to revolt against him and his rule. ^^^^ Cadman decided for ThorIan eighteen birthdays, he would make him a custom sword that would only fit his hand for a present. ThorIan would turn eighteen just after this years tournament. He knew ThorIan would be the winner this year for the fourth time. Even though Cadman knew ThorIan wouldn't be able to show the sword to anyone. ThorIan would know it was made especially for him by his Father. Maybe even one day he would be able to wear it without fear of death for owning a weapon. He even hoped that ThorIan would not disappear as the other winners had done in the past. This is when Hool arrived and asked Cadman to make the items.

"How did you come to call your son by his name?" Cadman replied, "ThorIan was born during a thunderstorm. My wife and I had tried for several years to have a child. We considered him a blessing from God. So we put the two names together Thor meaning "Thunder" and Ian meaning "God's gracious gift". "What day and time was he born? Does he have a birthmark behind his left ear that look like a figure eight." "Why are you so interested in my son?" "It is important for me to know. Please, trust me." Only a few chosen ones knew the complete details of the signs that would come to pass before the legend would be fulfilled and Hool was the last of them. "Very well, I will give you the answers to your questions? He was born on November 11, 1111 (BC) at 11:11:11 a.m. and he does have the mark you described." "So he will be turning eighteen this November in the year 1088 (BC) is that right?" "Yes." "You are planning on making him a special sword for his up coming birthday!" "Yes, I was. How did you know?" "It was revealed to me is all I can say. The sword I have requested you to make, you must custom make it for your son." "Why?" At that moment Calatina came in and said to her husband. "Cadman, whatever this man asks you to do, you must do it without question." After saying this she left. Cadman had learned to listen to his wife as she had proven to have a second sight. The things she had told him in the past had all come true. So he did not question her sayings. "I will do as you have asked of me." ^^^^ Hool spent time with ThorIan while his father made the items he had requested. One day Hool and ThorIan took a walk together and came to a cave. "Come inside with me ThorIan. I need to speak to you without distraction or observation." They went inside after gathering wood for a fire. After building the fire and sitting down ThorIan said, "What is it that you want of me?"

I opened the middle drawer and found his address book. I went threw it and found the number to his lawyers' office. I took my cell phone out and called the number. "Hello, this is Ms. Board. You have reached Mr. Guides' office. How may I help you? "This is Mr. Nottingham, I need to speak with Mr. Guides regarding Mr. Kenneth Irons." "He is on another line at the moment. Would you like to hold or leave a message and he will return your call?" "Please, put me through to Mr. Guides?" "As I said Mr. Nottingham, he is on another line." "Ms. Board, I am sure you are aware of who Mr. Irons is. I am sure your employer would not be happy with you when he finds out you did not put this call through. Is my meaning clear?" "Yes Sir, Mr. Nottingham. One moment please." She buzzes Mr. Guides. He puts his caller on hold and answers the intercom. "Yes, Ms. Board. What is it?" "Mr. Guides, sorry for the interruption but a Mr. Nottingham is on the other line. He says it is regarding Mr. Kenneth Irons." "Put him through in a minute." "Yes, Sir." Mr. Guides tell his other caller he will get back with him on the matter they were discussing. He hangs up and waits for the call to be forwarded. "Mr. Nottingham, Mr. Guides will speak with you now." "Thank you, Ms Board." "Hello, Mr. Nottingham." "Mr. Guides, It is extremely important for you to come to Mr. Irons' mansion as soon as possible. Bring all of the files you have regarding Mr. Irons with you. There is to be no questions asked." "He wants me to bring all the files I have?" "Yes. You are to bring them all and get here within the hour. Is that understood?" "Yes, yes, of course. I will be there?" "Good, you'll be expected." I hung up the phone and remembered how I must look. I needed to go shower and change out of the bloody clothes. As I left the study and entered the living room, I passed the Sword of Evanmori in its' case. I had cleaned up the blood off the floor after Lady Sara left and before going over to the desk in the study. I wondered what would happen now. Did Irons' have a will? What plans did he have for me if he preceded me in death? Did he even think that it was a possibility that he would die? These were some of the questions that ran through my mind, as I went upstairs to shower and change.

"ThorIan a time will come in which you will have to decide what you will do. Will you use the skills and knowledge you have learn for evil or for good." Anger flashes in ThorIan eyes and he stands up. "THERE IS NO CHOICE! I WILL FIGHT AGAINST ALL THE EVIL I CAN! I want to defeat Lord Ormond Irons, he is cruel and wicked." "You have already made up your mind?" "Yes, when I am old enough I will fight for good even if I lose my life. It will be well worth losing if evil can be defeated and destroyed. I only wish I had a weapon that could help me do battle. "Do you hate Lord Irons?" ThorIan sits back down and lowers his head. "I should! He has murdered several of my friends and their families because they spoke out against him. I want justice for them and all the others he has wronged. I want him to pay for his wickedness. I don't want to just kill him. He must be tried for his crimes. If I just killed him I would be no better than him." "Do you want to rule this kingdom in his stead?" "NO! I do not but I will serve and protect the peoples' chosen ruler with my life." "You have spoken well for such a young boy." "I am not a young boy." "No, you're not. You are a wise young man. Do you listen to and do as the voices direct you to do?" "Yes, the voices have helped me many times to avoid trouble." "Good. ThorIan you know of the legend regarding the jeweled stone." "Yes, the voices have told me of it. But it is just a story to give the people a little hope in our despair."

They had not spoken on the drive back. When they were back in the office Jake said, "Hey Sara, what do you think about the Captains death? Didn't he send you out there?" "Yea, Jake, he sent me to that warehouse on 11th Street. I checked out the place and found nothing was out of order so I left." "How'd you meet up with Nottingham?" "Jake, you have had enough encounters with Nottingham to know he shows up when you least expect it." "Humor me, ok Sara?" Jake was ordered to find out what the relationship between Nottingham and Sara was from the guys in the Prosecutors office. "Jake, what's with all the questions?" He pointed to the paperweight on the desk. He mouthed bugged. "I just wanted to know how you met up with him, that's all. Some think the Captain was set up." "You think Nottingham and I set the Captain up?" "No Sara, you know me better than that." "Ok Jake, this is what went down. Just so you have it clear in your mind. You know the Captain has had it in for me because of my father, right?" "Yea." "Well earlier today while you were out checking that paper lead on the murdered girl in the park. The Captain called me in his office telling me to close the door behind me. He then said he wanted me to check out this warehouse at 11th Street for possible illegal activities. I told him about our caseload and he asked if I was refusing an order. I said, no and I would go as soon as you came back. He told me to leave and you would catch up. Like I said, I went there and found it was clean so I left to come back to the Station. Nottingham was waiting in the parking lot and he came up to me. He said, Mr. Irons would like to speak to me and would I accompany him. I saw no reason not to go as you were not back yet because your car was not in the parking lot. "Jake, do you think the Captain was setting me up to be killed?" "I don't know. It does seem strange of him sending you out alone to a warehouse with no back up. When I did get back here there was no message for me to meet you, either. I don't think anyone even knew where he sent you. Who do you think will be the Captain now?" "Oh, probably someone we haven't even heard of. I doubt they will promote someone from our own Division. They never do. Let's get these reports written on Mr. Irons and Nottinghams brother, then call it a night?" "Sounds good to me, Sara?" They finished up and Sara headed home. She was tired and was ready to relax. When Sara got home she fixed herself a hot bath and soaked. She had not been able to get the uneasy feeling she felt leaving Ian at the mansion out of her mind.

She decided to try besides what could it hurt she just might get some answers if it worked. Here goes. "Ian are you ok?" Just wanted to let you know if you are asked where you met me today, tell them in the parking lot at the Station. Also, don't contact me by phone I think someone is checking out our relationship. Someone may phone you and ask some questions." After I finished changing I went back to his desk and read through the papers I found there. The papers I found related to all of his business dealings when I heard Lady Sara's voice. Hearing her voice startled me. "Lady Sara, it is nice to hear your voice. So this works both ways I was not sure if it did. I only knew I could reach out to you. I am fine. I have found nothing but business papers so far. I have called Mr. Guides, his lawyer he is on his way here. The staff hasnt arrived back yet. If someone calls regarding where I met you, I will say what you have told me. Please, do not worry about me. I will manage but it is going to take some time. There is a lot to go through and will take me several days. I will contact you when I have finished, until then good night. M'Lady." I cut off the connection without letting her say anything more. Nottingham one of these days I will get the last word in just you wait. She fumed. ^^^^ I was finding that Irons had many illegal dealings that he was running. Having had to learn to speed read as part of my training was going to come in handy now. As I read I made three piles of papers, first was legal, second illegal and the third was illegal activities I was involved in. I was going to need good legal advise on what to do regarding the last pile of papers. Forty-five minutes had passed when Mr. Guides arrived. About a half hour, before that the staff had arrived back. I figured I would get what I needed from Mr. Guides and after he left I would inform the staff. I had let the staff know by written instructions that when he arrived he was to be brought to the study.

I heard Mr. Guides clear his throat obviously shaken to see me sitting in the chair and not beside it as was the custom. "Come, sit down Mr. Guides. I know you have some questions. Do you have all the files regarding Mr. Irons, I asked you to bring?" "Yes, I do have them." he stuttered coming to sit down. "Good, take them out and give them to me." "But, Mr. Irons......" I cut him off, "Mr. Irons is dead and I need the information you have. Please, hand them over." "Dead, he's really dead? Are you sure?" "Yes, he is. I saw him with my own eyes. You seem relieved, Mr. Guides." The expression on his face went from relief to scared. "Mr. Guides, I sense that you feared Mr. Irons. You have nothing to fear from me. I do not intend to take up where Mr. Irons left off. I intend you no harm. I only want to find out what provisions if any, were made by him for his staff and myself. Also, what is to be done regarding his businesses and his burial." Relief returned to his face. "Thank you, Mr. Nottingham, you are correct. I did fear Mr. Irons, it is well known he got what he wanted. He was not a man who would take no for an answer. You probably know better than anyone else what Mr. Irons was capable of, having been his personal bodyguard and having carried out many of his orders. "Mr. Guides, I want to apologize to you for having intimidated and threatened you while Mr. Irons was alive. As you said, I had no choice. I did as I was ordered. I do remember you were here one time when I received punishment from him for disobeying an order. I believe he used me to make a point to you. If he were willing to condemn his own bodyguard, what would he be willing to do to you and his other associates. Am I correct?" "Yes, that was the point he was making and made sure I informed his other associates what I saw him do. Now, that I understand, I do not blame you and forgive you. Let's find out what his instructions are, if any, that he has left. He opened up his briefcase and took out the file. "Mr. Irons, gave me no instructions about this file. It is the only thing he gave to me to keep at the office." He opened up the file and there were several folders in it labeled as followed: Business, Charities, Staff, Estate and Nottingham 'his eyes only'. "Let's start with the staff, how does that sound?"

Are you a speed reader?" "No, I'm not." "Then if you don't mind, I will read them and what I don't understand I'll ask you about, ok?" Having studied the law in my training, I didn't think I would have a problem understanding the language and terms used in the documents. "Sounds good to me. I would rather finish as soon as possible, if you don't mind?" "Let me start then." I read through the staff folder. He set up a fund for each of the staff that would provide for them for the rest of their life. The accounts were set up independently and all the money had been deposited and no more money was being added to those accounts. They could continue to live at the mansion or move, it would be their choice. "Let me see the business folder, please." The businesses were to be run by the Board of Directors with half of the profits going to Charities. The businesses would be audited each year by an independent accounting firm that would change each year. Mr. Guides handed me the next folder, Charities. The Charities would continue to receive their annual contributions from all his business holdings. They would be allowed to use the mansions West wing for fundraisers. The next folder was about the Estate. The North wing was to be made into a museum, because of all the artifacts and antiques located throughout that part of the mansion. The South wing would become a hotel and the money was to be used for the upkeep of the Estate. The East wing would continue to be the staffs' private housing should they elect to stay. If not, then those who work for the hotel could live there. The West wing would be used by the Charities and when not in use by them, it could be rented out. The money from the rent would also go for the upkeep of the estate. "The last folder is for your eyes only. Do you need me for anything else, Mr. Nottingham?" He said, as he handed me this folder. It had only been a half hour since he had arrived. I handed him back the other folders. I took the last folder with my name on it and set it to the side. "Please look through these papers I removed them from the drawer and tell me what you know about them." I slid what I considered the legal business papers over to him and waited for him. He glanced through them. "I recognize all these companies and their work. I have done several contracts for them." He started to hand them back to me. "I think you should take them with you and do what's needed to be done with them. What about these?" I slid what I considered the illegal business papers to him. "I don't know anything about these personally, but I do recognize some of the names and they are thought to be associated with illegal and shady dealings." He handed them back to me. "Thank you, Mr. Guides. I only have one question; do you know a good honest Criminal lawyer? I believe I might need one." "Yes, Mr. Nottingham. His name is Mr. Shallnot and his number is 996-321-1111. I'm sure he will be able to help you with any problems you may have, when he knows all the circumstances. Do you have any more questions?" "No. Thank you for coming out and for Mr. Shallnots' name and number. Have a good evening. The police may come by in the next few days or weeks to speak with you concerning Mr. Irons and myself. Please, be completely honest with them about all you know. Please do whatever is necessary for these documents to take affect as soon as possible." "Yes, I will do that. Good luck, Mr. Nottingham." To himself, Mr. Nottingham seems to be very nice since he is no longer under the influence of Mr. Irons' rule. Poor guy, what a terrible life he must have live with Mr. Irons.

"All staff report to the study at once." In short order all the staff arrived. I had stood up and went to the fire as I waited. I turned the chair around so they could not see he was not there. I had also cleared off the desk. "The staff are all present Sir." Mr. Roweld said. I turned around and faced them. "I have some information for all of you that you need to know. As it affects all of you." Their faces all reflected surprise and shock. They had all seen me but never heard me speak. I had never addressed or looked at them even when it was just us in the room. I knew each of them was aware that Mr. Irons physically tortured me and what my position was. "You all are aware of who I am. Mr. Irons is dead." They all gasped and started talking amongst themselves. I cleared my throat and they became quiet. "I have spoken with Mr. Guides and here is what I have found out. Each of you are able to stay in your living quarters, if you wish. A fund has been set up in each of your names and you will receive a sum of money from it each week. The Estate will be as follows and you may continue to work here if you wish. I told them what would happen to each wing. Do you have any questions." They all looked at one another and finally Mr. Roweld said, "thank you for the information. We all wanted to say how sorry we are for the way Mr. Irons' treated you all these years." "Thank you for your kindness. I remember most of you were here when I was a boy. Do any of you know anything about where I came from?" "No, Mr. Nottingham. We were only told that you would be living here." "Do you remember how old I was?" "I believe you were two when you came. But you seemed much older like four or five. That is all I remember", said Mrs. Pasley. The others just nodded in agreement. "Thank you for telling me what you know." "If you don't mind telling us, what will happen to you now?" said Ms. Bondnest. "I don't know, but I am sure it will not be good. I doubt you will be seeing me after the next few weeks. Thank you again for you concern. The police will probably want to talk to you regarding Mr. Irons and myself. Please tell them all you know. Please leave me now." "Good luck, Mr. Nottingham, they all said as they left.
